Powertrain.
The Mercedes-AMG GT C is a high-performance sports car featuring fascinating technology. The basis for its sophisticated lightweight design is provided by the aluminium spaceframe body. Another highlight is the boot lid consisting of ultra-light SMC plastic (Sheet Moulding Compound) and steel reinforcement underneath. The Mercedes-AMG GT C also incorporates a lithium-ion battery, saving approx. 10 kilograms in weight compared with a conventional starter battery.
