Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East today announced the appointment of Thomas Klein as its new President & CEO, effective on July 1, 2019. He takes over from Mark De Haes who held the position since May 2015 and whose main achievements were the strengthening of Mercedes-Benz’s market position in the region, leading the company into the era of future mobility and bolstering customer experience offerings with the launch of the revolutionary MAR2020 showrooms in Jeddah and Kuwait City respectively.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLS is Mercedes-Benz's largest and most luxurious SUV and, above all, offers more: more space, more comfort, and more luxury. The confident presence of its exterior stems from its impressive dimensions, which are even larger than those of its predecessor (length +77 mm, width +22 mm). One of the benefits of the 60 mm longer wheelbase is interior spaciousness, especially in the second row. The three fully electrically adjustable seat rows offer all passengers a generous amount of space and outstanding seating comfort.
Sharpened vehicle dynamics, optimum connectivity, and operation via gesture control: Mercedes-AMG is updating the successful GLC 63 4MATIC+ models. The SUV and coupé are being given a new, even more distinctive light design as well as the MBUX infotainment system with AMG-specific functions and displays. The new dynamic handling control AMG DYNAMICS and the locking differential, which is now controlled electronically on all models as standard, facilitate even more versatile driving experiences.
Sporty, stylish, intelligent and dynamic: The new CLA 35 4MATIC (combined fuel consumption 7.3-7.2 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions 167-164 g/km) is the latest, more lifestyle-oriented, point of entry to the world of Mercedes-AMG. The four-door coupé shares the progressive technology of the A-Class, but is even bolder with its iconic design and intelligent MBUX interior assistant.
Following the launch of the Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC “Hot Hatch”, the next level of driving performance is here: The A 35 4MATIC Sedan (combined fuel consumption 7.3-7.2 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions 167-164 g/km) is the second model from Mercedes-AMG based on the new compact car platform and the first choice for customers looking for sportiness and comfort typical of the brand.
