Using the DYNAMIC SELECT Switch, the driver is able to change the vehicle's damping properties. There is a choice between Comfort mode with more comfortable damping characteristics and two Sport modes for a sporty, taut damper set-up. The adjustment options provide a wide spread between comfortable, sporty and very sporty configurations. The driver has a choice between 3 stages, "Comfort", "Sport" and "Sport+".
The optional multi-chamber air suspension system AIR BODY CONTROL works in unison with continuously variable damper control to ensure very high standards of road roar and tyre vibration characteristics and driving dynamics. The damping at each wheel is adapted to the current driving situation and road surface condition. The occupants enjoy a soft basic suspension set-up and the secure feeling of high handling stability as speed increases. A harder spring rate, for example when cornering and braking, effectively reduces rolling movements. With the “Comfort” and “Sport” settings, AIR BODY CONTROL can be configured for a more comfortable or sportier drive.
