On the exterior, the focus has been placed on a redesign of the front end, while the rear has been modernised primarily in the area of the bumper and tail lights. Once again the dimensions of the GLS bear witness to its full-size format, and form the best possible basis for providing its seven passengers with a generous amount of space – with a length of 5,130 millimetres, a width of 1,934 millimetres, a height of 1,850 millimetres and a wheelbase of 3,075 millimetres. Chrome-look details, including the roof rails and underguard for example, create attractive highlights.
The revised interior underscores the first-class standards of the GLS. Up to seven passengers are able to enjoy an outstanding level of spaciousness. All three-seat rows offer ample elbow and headroom. Classic comfort values such as the seat row spacing or shoulder room are among the traditional strengths of the model series. Highlights in the interior include a newly designed instrument panel with an 8" Media Display, new 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, modified center console with touchpad and new trim options.
With its diverse adjustment options, the centre seat row enables a high degree of flexibility in the interior, including a cargo position for optimum use of the luggage compartment. You travel in such luxury in the GLS that you really ought to share it. Three rows of seats as standard offer top-level comfort and ample space for up to seven occupants. The seats can be used very flexibly, featuring a backrest angle adjustment for the second row and electric folding for the third. Heated seats are available as an option for the rear as well.
