Rear aerofoil electrically extending

The rear aerofoil helps to increase the negative lift force on the road, thus improving lateral acceleration and driving stability at high speeds. At speeds of 120 km/h and above, the rear aerofoil emerges automatically. It is retracted again automatically once the vehicle speed falls back below 80 km/h. It can be extended and retracted manually at speeds of up to 120 km/h.

AMG Dynamic PLUS Package

Even greater driving dynamics and even sportier vehicle handling come courtesy of the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package. In addition to dynamic engine and transmission mounts, it includes firmer sports suspension, specifically tuned steering and a specific engine application which is available in "RACE" mode or manual mode "M". The result is better performance with optimised handling. An AMG performance steering wheel in DINAMICA microfibre plus yellow highlights in the instrument cluster complete the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package.

The AMG Dynamic Engine Mount is built To minimize the effects of engine movements on the chassis. The stiffness of the engine mounts is changed: Smooth when cruising or on way to work , hard when turning or in track performance.

AMG ELECTRONIC Rear Differential Lock

An electronically controlled AMG rear axle differential lock improves traction as well as driving stability in slaloms or when changing lane at high speeds. It also improves traction and vehicle stability. The Diff Lock reduces wheel slip on one side by transferring the surplus power to the other side, thus balancing the car.

Three flaps open and close depending on the drive program or the driver’s choice with a wider range than ever between neighbourhood friendliness and pure emotion.sound characteristics can be set by the driver via the exhaust flap button in the centre console or by selecting the appropriate transmission mode using the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT Controller – in a range from moderately sonorous to emphatically sporty.

In the sporty modes, the dual clutch transmission shifts gear up to 60% faster than in C mode.

The AMG DRIVE UNIT: the direct connection to the road. One individual and three pre-set transmission modes can be selected via the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT Controller. C, S and S+, each with its own character. The sportier the mode, the more agile the response, the higher the engine speed and the shorter the shift times. High-performance technology which gears up the Mercedes - AMG GT S for race track performance in Race mode.
